Pet Care
Keeping your pet healthy at home
Good pet care starts between visits. A few habits at home prevent most of the problems we treat.
Daily and weekly
- Fresh water and a measured, age-appropriate diet
- Daily activity suited to your pet's breed and age
- Weekly tooth brushing to prevent dental disease
- A quick check of ears, eyes, skin, and coat
Common pet care questions
How often should my pet see the vet?
Healthy adult dogs and cats do well with an annual wellness exam. Puppies, kittens, and seniors (over 7) benefit from twice-yearly visits.
Do you see exotic pets?
Yes. Dr. Lopez treats rabbits, guinea pigs, reptiles, birds, and small mammals.
What counts as an emergency?
Trouble breathing, repeated vomiting, bloating, seizures, inability to urinate, or any suspected poisoning. Call our 24/7 line right away.
Do you offer payment plans?
We accept major cards and CareCredit, and we always give a written estimate before treatment so there are no surprises.
